Everywoman's Delegation Mission Statement
The Everywoman's Delegation is a coalition of grassroots women
who are uncompromisingly committed to a vision of universal peace, justice
and human rights for all people. We recognize that the realization of this
vision is inexorably and intimately linked to the full social, economic,
and political participation of every woman in every family, in every community,
and in every nation. We pledge to dedicate ourselves and our work to the
United Nations Fourth World Conference Twelve Areas of Critical Concern
and to the implementation of the Forward Looking Strategies for the global
enhancement of women. In so doing, we uphold our steadfast commitment to
achieve equality, development and peace for every woman worldwide so that
posterity may know genuine peace, justice and freedom.
Our intention in using an Opinionnaire®
at Beijing, China was to demonstrate its potential to examine commonalty
and differences in values among women worldwide through a democratic process.
